A Clinic For Women was conceptualized and founded by Dr Chua Yang in 2002. Her idea was to create a safe, comfortable and unhurried environment for women to address their medical, physical, emotional and even psychosocial needs.
Dr Chua is a firm believer of health education, primary prevention and holistic approach. Women are encouraged to take time not just to deal with any immediate concerns, but to use the opportunity to share about other worries or even just to gain general knowledge on health issues.
Our mission is to help women achieve and maintain good health as well as to motivate and empower women to strive for their own and their loved ones’ wellness.

Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Dr. Chua Yang graduated from the National University of Singapore. She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, MRCOG (UK), and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS). She also holds a graduate diploma in acupuncture.
Dr Chua Yang is the director and senior obstetrician and gynaecologist at A Clinic For Women.
She is now serving her second term as president of the Menopause Research Society of Singapore. She is also the medical advisor of "Woman to Woman" Menopause Support Group and the Members' Representative in the RCOG Representative Committee of Singapore. She currently sits on the council of the Obstetrical & Gynaecological Society of Singapore. She is an active member of the Association of Women Doctors (Singapore) and Osteoporosis Society of Singapore.
Dr Chua is a frequent speaker at CME programs and public forums. She has worked with private organizations as well as Health Promotion Board, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Foundation. She is on the editorial board of magazines like Motherhood and Prime and frequently contributes articles for these magazines. She is also a columnist in the recently launched Health No.1 Magazine.
Her passion in providing medical care for underserved women has brought her to different cultures and communities. She continues to volunteer her time and energy for women in different parts of the world, including Niger, Nepal, Ladakh, Bangalore, and parts of Indonesia.
